Table lamp cable size

I have been given a lathe turned wooden table lamp & was wondering if 0.5mm 2 core flex is ample to wire it with. The lamp holder is the all plastic type.

0.75mm² would be more durable, but yes, 0.5mm² would be sufficient with a 3A fuse.
