can anyone offer advice : id like to wire a takex beam to a spare scantronic alarm system I have. When the beam is tripped the scantronic would sound a siren for a second. What wiring would the takex go in to the scantronic panel? thanks

What beam is it ....does it have normally open relay ?

Why do you want it to do this ? Is it to alert you ?
Option 1 wire it to a zone and set chime on this zone ....
Option 2 wire to a sounder via normally open so the beam makes the sounder activate when the beam gets broken ....BUT ...the sounder will ring if the beam is blocked unless you use a timer board ...
