Have just spent all weekend ripping out walls in bathroom, took out bath panel to find more pipes than you've ever seen in your life! Spaghetti junction under there, even old lead ones in wall still. as we are fitting a roll top, all pipes will need to be hidden, problem is some of the central heating also under bath as well. We've got a gravity fed system, hot water tank nxt to bath in a cupboard but some of the pipes come out of wall under bath, can you move these? Does anyone know of any good plumbers in leeds, bfd area of west yorkshire, not the sort off house of horrors either! Think our house was done by biggest bodger in yorkshire, they've even tiled over tiles with plaster and then tiled over that! :(

The short answer to your question is - yes you can move any of the pipework that you have discovered - ask all of your friends for the name of a good heating engineer/plumber - recommendation is the best way forward.

Regarding tiles on tiles - it's not a problem providing the original tiles are firm on the wall, correctly preped and the right kind of adhesive is used

You might also consider a WBP platform over the pipework, with the bath standing on a slight stage, if you like the idea.

Hello there
This reply isn't strictly relevant but I'm trying to warn as many people as possible.
For anyone thinking of buying a roll top or cast iron bath, if you see an ad on Ebay or Gumtree for lovely antique French baths, they are likely to have been placed there by The Art Farm.
This seems to be a front for a chap called Johnny Grant who has duped me and three others I know of out of hundreds of pounds each.
We (stupidly, I know) paid for baths upfront which were never delivered and never refunded.
We can't get our money back but we're trying to make sure anyone researching him on Google finds out about what he's been up to.
That means I'm posting links to a blog about The Art Farm as widely as possible.
here's the address if you want to know more:
