I have taken a radiator off to plaster behind it when skimming a full wall, Had no probs but need advice.

All radiators have thermostatic valves except 1 (i was told there has to be 1 radiator that doesnt have them but dont know why) anyhow i am wanting to plaster a wall in the kitchen but this is the rad without the valve, Can i take it off the same as the other or is it a problem?

Could someone explain why 1 radiator in the house has to thermo free.

Cheers

Steve

If all the rads have thermo valves and they all shut off then the pump has nowhere to pump the water unless a bypass has been fitted . If no bypass is fitted leaving one rad thermo free just ensures the pump can always pump through one radiator
