Hello
First time poster - hope you can help
My en suite bathroom is basically a stud wall with carpet running straight through. The carpet has gotten a bit smelly and discoloured over the years so I am looking into taking it up, sealing and levelling the floor and then using some of the self adhesive flooring from B and Q to finish it off. My question is regarding the carpet in the door way - if I cut it with a Stanley blade and lay a door bar down, will I need tools to get the carpet to grip it like a stretcher or anything? really want to attempt the work but don't want my bedroom carpet going baggy.
Also, just thought, the only thing keeping the carpet in should I do this is the stud wall - do you guys think this will be enough to keep the carpet out stretched?!
Thanks in advance
Sam
