Hi all
Need some advice re my house alarm it's an old data alarm with the large control panel.

The alarm has been going off when not armed at roughly the same time everyday just once a day .when we put the code in to stop it the tamper light is lit.

We thought it may be the battery and have replaced it but its still happening.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Pretty much the same time yeah. Every time we have been sat watching tv and its gone off.

Tamper alarms don't require the system to be armed.

The battery has been replaced so unlikely to be the battery.

Events that occur at specific times may be damaged cable and you walk across the floor or interference when something is say switched on.

some alarm panels you can identify the source of the tamper diagnostically from the panel, others you have to test cables continuity, or link out the various tampers in the panel and see which one when linked out stops the tamper. then you have the choice or doing something with it or leaving it linked it.

Obviously if you do nothing after its linked out the tamper from that source will never work which is not ideal.

Thank you for the response looks like I'll have to get an electrician in.

some people aren't comfortable dabbling, been to a job this evening, wanted xy and z and proved he didn't need it.

fixed the problem that was there and showed them how to use it and get the benefit on a panel and its current programming.
