New bathroom which has just been dot & dab 12.5mm plaster board.

Had asked for the shower area to be tile baker board but plaster team weren't told by the builder so have now fully been boarded out.

I have marked up on the wall and told them not to skim the shower cubicle area now.

Do I take the plaster board down and put tile board up instead or just tank the plaster board ?

Only using ceramic 250x200 tiles.

The p/b full boards cover the place which will be tiled and half what has been skimmed so thinking it might not easy to cut them out ?

What do you think ?

Skimmed plaster will take 20kg m2 & unskimmed plasterboard (& most tanking kits) will take 32kg. So depends on tile + adhesive weights but you might be fine tanking.
