I’m replacing my bath and shower enclosure. I want to do this correctly and I’ve read up that one of the things I should be doing is tanking the walls before tiling.
I’ve bought myself a tub of Mapei Mapegum WPS, but I also require tanking tape to tape up the joints. I’ve searched around and the only item product I can find is BAL waterproofing tape. I need about 7 metres in total and at £15 per 5m roll I think this is a bit pricey!
I just can’t seem to find any alternative brands for sale. I gather that the BAL tape is made of polyester, but can’t even find any other polyester tapes – other than that used for clothing!
Can anyone suggest or recommend any alternative products?
