Tap washer

My cold tap is running when shut. I have removed the cartridge from tap but have never replaced this type of cartridge .

Is it just a case of changing that washer ?

Is it called a Delta washer ?

No, that is a quarter turn tap containing ceramic discs instead of washers, you will need a new cartridge.

if you know the manufacturer, then buy the proper thing, you may find spurious ones won't fit.

I was thinking that once I wrote this post. I do not know the manufacturer. I have just put a standard tap cartridge on for now what I had and it fitted on cold and stopped leak.

I have mixer taps matching on my bath and its tiled in. Is there a way to get a match without having to order tap heads for the lot ?

I have also took the screw out the top but cannot release the tap head from the cartridge ?

Fit new taps, it will save time and money in the hope you can find the correct cartridge.

As above ^^^^^^, its cheaper in the long run just to replace the taps, they come with a years guarantee

Take the tap head off and take it to a proper merchant, they'll stock them in pairs.

If a contract tap head fits then pop out and get a pair of tap revivers.
