any RF bods done any practical TDR'ing with the latest budget VNA's that are now available?
I have a miniVNA pro and a JNCRadio SV6301A, and I believe that both of these offer TDR functions....
was thinking of things like finding where the break in a cable that goes across the lawn to the garage might be.....
just wondered if anyone has tried TDR'ing with these things before i dive in.

I have a SDR kits VNWA and gave it a try maybe 5 years ago, it was successful but requireing a PC to operate it is too cumbersome and I don't make any claim to be profficient at it's use.
I also have a MFJ 269 and yes I have done SWR checks to calculate the distance bearing in mind the VR of mains cable is not known. It certainly reduces the size of the ballpark.
