Tecnik Washer Door Seal

Hi Guys

Can anyone please tell me if changing the door seal on a Tecnik TKL 9260 is a reasonable job to do?

I have been told that because of the way the seal fits on the drum, that the drum has to be lifted out. Which would make it beyond ecconomical repair.

Any advice would be appreciated, I really don't want to be forking out for a new washer at the moment.

Not a very common machine so maybe no definate answer.

I will say that I have never had to take the drum out for any machine (although some would be easier to do physically but alot longer in time to do the whole job)

Usually they have an inner and outer sealing band of some sort and you can get to the inner band usually by a combination of removing the lid and the outer band that holds the seal on the front of the machine.

Inner bands can be clips, springs, bands with tensioning bolts on
