Hi all, just looking for some advise please on Ted Tod flooring prices. I have a large project to complete at home approximate 70m2 and am looking for a high end solid oak floor and have just seen this make at John Lewis. Now without question the floor is top quality, but your looking at upwards of £70 per metre.

Previously I installed solid oak that I got for a great price. Around £20 per metre for 18mm x 120mm. This has been ok, but I'm looking to upgrade to much wider planks and of superior quality with less filler etc.

Just looking for some second opinions please whether I need to spend around the £70 per metre mark for a top end wood, or are there other options?

Many thanks,

Chris

You can spend alot more than £70m2

I've heard good stories about Ted Todd floors, but don't have personal experience.

As you say, the more you spend, the superior the quality of the wood, although the quality of preperation and fitting will have a very large part to play in the finish of the overall product.
