I was going to have some timber ledge & brace framed doors made for a brick shed.
I had been thinking of using the Centurion brand 250 mm (10") Galvanised heavy Scotch tee hinges (link below). Out of curiosity what does "Scotch" mean in this context?

The person who would make them said he usually uses 6" Crompton t hinge which is better than scotch, and more than adequate for a shed door. I've searched online for this and it appears to be the hinge linked-to below:
