Hi, is it acceptable to tee off the pipework on an existing gas fire on the first floor to feed a gas fire on the ground floor?
I ask this because the new stove is directly underneath the other, and I was thinking shortest route.
I will of course get the corgi guy in to do the technical stuff, but that won't be for weeks yet. Whereas I want to get the pipes in place now.

I refer you to a pipe sizing chart. Best take advice from your installer. May be possible that the pipework will support 2 fires, and comply with regs, but it may not.

Thanks Gasman, I'll go and see if I can find one. Already got 2 fires, 1 up, 1 down. The one downstairs couldn't be sited further away from the new one.
Cheers for your response.
