Hi guys,

we are having an issue with the new panel. my dad installed the unit, followed an instructional video, and we are having a weird issue.

We carried out the walk test and all seems fine. However, when the alarm is off, all the sensors will trigger as if it's armed. even during exit when setting the alarm, as soon as you open the front door to exit during the allotted time, the alarms setoff.

Ive tried the basic reset of power down, fuse out battery off, then holding the reset button down when restoring power, but doesn't seem to fully reset as my fathers old code still works.

any thoughts? is there a mega factory reset or is the problem a normal one?

thanks

Maybe, I wasn't there when he did it, so was thinking a full reset to factory, but tried as mentioned above process, but still uses his pin and not the factory 4321.

I think it's press and release the tamper spring 3 or so times on power up to fully default the system IIRC.

4321 is the default user code which is crazy to be using but that’s a separate issue.

The unit has to be either faulty or grossley misprogrammed.

Out of interest what zone was shown as activating the alarm.

It’s common for people to do 1234 prog 1234 prog and set zone 2 to a fire zone which will activate the alarm system immediately if activated.

As it becomes a 24 hr fire zone.
