Hi,

I just moved into a 2 bed appartment, and to be honest this is the first time I have lived away from my parents!

I can not seem to get the flat warm, I have a Baxi condenser boiler and the CH temp is set at 71 right now. I have No thermostat but have been told that there used to be a wireless one.

Is the boiler set high enough and would the wireless thermostat make a difference?

I am constently freezing...

PLEASE HELP!!

Thank You in advance

if their is a wireless room stat then check for the reciver it be by the boiler normaly or the controls.

Press the overide button this will eliminate the room stat and force the central heating on full.

The room stat will control the temps of the radiators it could be possible its hidden somewhere nice and warm and is switching off the ch before the house is hot you need to find it locate it somewhere suitable and set the required temp

There is a control next to the boiler, and I have jut pushed override button. There was a bracket on the wall when we moved in and the leting agent told us that was for the wireless thermostat but there isnt one and will look at replacing it... this has never happened GRRR.

is my boiler temp set high enough?

Will pressing the override button mean that it will get warmer?

Radiators are warm yes

Sorry for my probably stupid questions!

the overide unless its allready on will bring the boiler on for central heating
the radiators should get nice and hot.

If they are not hot or poor heat, feel the pipes up into the radiators if they are red hot have you got TRV's / check the pressure on the boiler this be the system pressure their should be a gauge with bar readings on it somewhere

There are TRV's on all radiators apart from in the living room which is were I am always. The pressure right now is in the green just after the one. The radiators are hot but not so hot that you cant leave your hand on it

turn your control up to max all i can say would be to check the manual for your boiler you can find the info on the website and see what temps you should be getting.

Could take the trv off one radiator and see if that increases the heat they can do sometimes if they installed a cretin make.

Other then that, if the rads are hot ( 82'c is about ave temp) then who ever installed the radiators did undersized the system.

Most systems i go to and they say its blooming cold in here i look at the rad and see its been sized to match a window which now days is incorrect.

so wack the stat up on max remove a trv head see if it gets any better if not consider getting a tape measure out on the room and searching for a radiator sizing program and see if he sized the rads for the room correctly
