I`m just about to lay some ply down over existing floor boards ready for it being tiled and was wondering of any sure fire tips for marking ply for around toilet and sink pedastal as i don`t want to remove either of them.

Use an old cardboard box flattened out and with a sturdy pair of scissors take a bit off at a time until you have a reasonable fit.
