Hi.
I've recently moved into a new property and I need to make the existing drive a little wider so I can fit two cars on it. This will be very temporary (between 2 and 4 months) as we are already booked in to completely have the driveway redone. At the moment the front garden has grass for about 7m wide, then paved driveway for around 4m wide.
As this is temporary, could I simply dig up the grass / soil and lay some driveway grid material then pour some gravel into that? There is a very slight slope towards the house.
I understand that the better way to do it is with hardcore and a compactor, but as stated this is a very temporary solution.
Thanks.

If it really is only for 2-4 months I would think that solution would be a waste of money.

Why not just chuck down a few 8x4 sheets of ply? it won't last long term but would be fine for a few months to stop the cars sinking into the grass.
