I need tyo re-lay a bad driveway that floods.
Its gravel but very uneven so pools and turns my drive into a pond.

Thinking just re laying it may be a good idea but making it slope better so it runs to the gulley at the end of the drive.

What would be the best way (i really dont want it to soakaway into my drive as i think this is contributing to Damp issues as its so close to my house) Would i be better ditching the gravel altogether?

I even bought a sump pump but its dificult to get it in a position to pump the water as it would need a big hole (i would imagine?) which is not good for cars on the drive...

We were worried about replacing tarmac with gravel for the same reasons. Gravel drive, no damp in the house. Guess it evaporates rather than gets stuck under the tarmac.

Did you ever remove that dpm that was under it?

Completely redoing it is probably the only choice. you can then profile it to fall towards a drainage point. Your sump pump could just be in a large manhole chamber?
