Tenement Secure Door Entry Handset Replacement

I have re-decorated and everything is perfect except.....I have a very old secure entry handset. It works PERFECTLY but it is dirty and has a couple of decades worth of paint splashes on it. I wondered how easy it would be to replace and how expensive: It has no brand name on it so I am not sure what type it is..... Or would I be better to leave it alone since it works, if so is there a way to clean the paint off it?

Any advice gratefully recieved!

Non-scratch washing up scourer pad dampened with washo or Flash. Use fingernails for the paint...

I don't recognise this handset - but there are an awful lot of different types out there!

Alternatively, ask the landlord...?
