Have just taken up a carpet (well about three carpets...) to reveal a hardwood floor - which was tenting a bit in a couple of places. One bit was easy to fix - close to the edge so just relaid it. But the other is fairly well out in the room. It's a bit loose so was thinking of screwing, plugging and refinishing - sensible idea? Typically, it's exactly where you walk...

Thanks,
Neal

is it a floating floor !!!!!!

if so make shure it has expansion gap all round with no pinch points
and definatly do not nail down as you will only move the problem and possibly make things worse

No - sorry, should have said. It's 21mm oak nailed (concealed) to joists.
