hi everyone, am hoping i can get some advise on issue am having. so my terrestial tv set up is as below:

New tv arial in loft- Philex 48 Element tv Arial
This is connected to One for All SV9602 4-way signal booster
This is then distributed to 4 rooms
Cable used is Webro RG6 Digital Coaxial Cable - from aerial to booster and from booster to all 4 rooms
Coax plugs- PROception coaxial male plugs
Signal strength and Quality are both above 90% for most channels. a few other channels are 75-80% .
-----------
The Problem:
Now all tvs get all the channels i expect to get. i get even the HD free to air channels, bbc, itv,c4 ,c5.
it all works great with great pictures. HD channels are as you would expect to be.

However i will sometimes get this very random complete loss of signal with a message saying , tv not connected to aerial, please check'. after about 30sec or so the signal is restored and works fine as if nothing happened!
The TV i watch most is a JVC Fire TV which i have had this issue predominantly. i also use a Toshiba in another room but have not noticed the issue there yet (in about 3months although i dont watch that as much as i do with the JVC so that could be why i havent esperience the issue with that tv so far.

i have checked all the connections and all seem fine and tight. i have check the connection at the TV Aerial and its well connected.

what could be causing this issue please? many thanks

TVs should have signal strength indicator. Have a look. What's that like?
You might be over boosting signal for some.
I have a 4 way f plug splitter and no booster and all good.
Maybe the tv needs a attenuation but without a tester on each point you won't know.

Start looking at other ways to get Freeview on TVs ready for when signal is switched off.

Try a variable attenuator at the socket of your main TV. Reduce the TV's signal strength to about 70%. See how you go.

thank you mate. i will get one of these and connect to the TV i watch most. i guess. i will have to play around with adjusting the signal a bit witt the red button on the side, which i assume is for increasing or reducing the signal strengh. thank you

An attenuator just reduces the signal strength. It doesn't increase it. What it does though, being a passive device rather than amplified, is that it leaves the signal quality unchanged. It reduces the power without reducing the quality. It's a good diagnostic tool.

Next time you lose signal, turn the attenuator down. If signal overload is the issue, then it's a quick way to find out.

Update on this- it turns out the New aerial is somehow faulty. after fitting the attenuator i was still having issues .i then decided to replace the aerial and see and bingo my problems have dissappeared.
New One For All SV9354 UHF aerial installed and no more issues even with a signal strengh of 100% and quality also being 100%. am keeping the attenuator for now just in case but looks like i may not need it.

anyway thank you all . just thought i will update.
