Afternoon everyone,

I took various people's advice and forked out for a Megger 1552 (used from ebay).

Just got it, seems intact and does what it says on the tin, but is out of calibration.

Any advice on where to go for calibration, and what I should expect to pay ?

Thanks, David

Most electrical wholesalers can get calibration done. Expect to pay anything from about £50 - £100 if it is straightforward.

This is true, some have calibration days, where you can take your test equipment in and have them calibrated at a discounted price CEF do this.
or you could consider sending it to megger and they will also calibrate it.

As PBD has mentioned, look for a wholesaler who is having a calibration day.

The bloke will be there on site, so it is done there and then, and as you bring the tester to him, and he is guaranteed lots of work that day, they offer good discounts.

IIRC, it cost £35 + vat for my MFT at last years calibration day.

CEF near us were doing calibration days, they sent them off tho, took 3 days to get mine back, wasn't impressed!

Where abouts are you? If you're in West Yorkshire then there is a place on Gain Lane, in Eccleshill, Bradford.

£46 and takes a day!!!
