I know that you have to test the continuuity of CPC's, and the polarity

its just that I can 't remeber what else. By the way I'm a trainee sparky

and this is for an assignment. The lighting circuit incidentally is a radial.

I would realy appreciatte any help. thanks.

p.s. My books have been knicked and my notes with them so please

please help

You have the main 2 already. Polarity at switches AND the centre contact of ES lamp holders.

Then you need to do insulation resistance test, between L & E, N & E, L & N.

Thats the dead tests, the live tests would then be......

Loop impedance test at the end of the circuit.
RCD test if appropriate.

The order of testing on a new installation would be

CRIPLER - Continuity of CPC's, Insulation Test, Polarity, Loop, RCD.

Hope that helps.

Remember to do insualation test with all switches on, lamps and neons removed, and with any 2way switched circuits switched both ways.
