Hi all you experts; can someone tell me what would be the best and most economical test of a washing machine (various makes), using the programmes? I don't actually want to sit there and watch it, but I need to ensure all aspects are working correctly.

Buy a copy of which magazine covering washing machines!!!

thanks for the comment Gees. Would this actually have the test I could carry out? have you read it? is there a serial number I should request?
thanks again.

Cancel the last request Gees, I have visited the site and as you suggested, may be able to get the information needed from there, thank you - unless anybody else has a sensible suggestion?

do you mean you are selling second-hand machines and want to see if they work?

or do you mean you are thinking of buying a new one and want to know what's a good one?

I have two machines not in use, I think one had a timer fault. I want to test them to try to identify the faults by running them; so I suppose the first question is more relevant.

better try washing some stuff in them then.
