Testing heat alarms

Most seem to trigger at 55c.

How would you test?

(please do not say "press the test button") :lol:

Hot air gun seems a bit OTT
 
hair dryer.

no i am not joking, saw my first one the other day (i have a smoke pole), it looks just like a miniture hair dryer. but it fits on my smoke pole, pole. but as they cost a fortune, use a hair dryer

thats it., but i dont have the black bit, mine is red for "smoke"
 
Just used a heat gun in the past starting a fair bit away from the detector!
