testing off peak immersion

sure its been done to death but its new for me .
is their any way to test off peak immersion don't want to move cables to another consumer unit just want to know if their is an easy way around this

no its was for a job I did for a landlord (renew immersions) personally I think the switches were broken but I couldn't find out if this was the case,or I could but that opens a hole can of worms so I just wondered if their is an easy way of checking
 
You can dead test the continuity of the conductors from source to immersion and operate the switch(es), timer and thermostat to, at least, determine if they appear to work.
