Just a question from someone who was electrocuted yesterday... whats the best way to test for dead?

no breathing, no heartbeat, cold, rigor mortis = most likely dead.

Compact Oxford English Dictionary said:
electrocute

• verb injure or kill by electric shock.
— DERIVATIVES electrocution noun.

So you can still be electrocuted and still be alive according to the dictionary.

I will try to remain serious here :)
Fluke is very nice but a mains neon screwdriver is a nice easy way (and at least do this!) Test it on a live wire to see it works and then use that. This means less you can find live and stay alive :D

If after testing you are still not 100% I use a screwdiver to short the wires.

I'd rather get an electric shock on the back of the hand than end up with molten fragments in my face.
