I have a Texecom Premier Elite 24 which I DIY installed about 8 years ago. A few years back I upgraded from the old ethernet module and fitted a SmartCom and signed up for a Texecom Cloud account etc as I wanted to use the app to check on the alarm , make sure it was armed, etc.

I'm just a little bit confused as to what I have in terms of their Cloud. I log into to Texecom Cloud and I can see my panel, do updates, do diagnostics etc. The app works, etc.

I currently just have the free tier, which I think they call "Connect". I'm just trying to work out what the "Cloud" tier at £15 a year (I think) gets you? Does that give you Wintex like functionality but over the internet? I guess that's' what I "lack"?

Anybody use it? Is it really worth it over Wintex which works fine and lets me connect over SmartCom

Ah, I took gamble at £15 a year. It does essentially give you a web version of Wintex. Integrates with Ricohet too, which is cool to be fair.

Looks like you can do health checks, and schedule them and stuff so I guess you can get engineer alerts and stuff.

Can’t say as an installer I am a fan of the cloud variant and prefer Wintex hands down and ricochet monitor.

The health check isnt much use to me as an installer unless I have gold membership and I don’t think it adds value to what I offer.

Larger companies however the gold membership works out much better value and as individual owners the £15 isn’t bad.
