Texecom Door Contact Alarm 24 Hours

I have a Texecom Elite 64 alarm system. I would like the alarm to sound when the door contact is open but reset as soon as door is closed this would need to be 24 hours. What attributes would I set for this?

What about the chime function, this will give audible noise each time the door is opened.

The chime is not as loud as the alarm going off via the bell.

not sure it be a good idea to have the external bell sound when the door opens.

but say you had n internal sounder and you wanted it to be loud you could use a custom output wired to the bell trigger of that sounder.

set to intruder alarm or zone mimic, but think that’s mental.

It’s for a fire door. So we need to know when it’s opened. And ideally needs to be loud. Is it possible? I have it as pa audible at the moment. But once the door is closed the system has to be reset.

What about a sound bomb wired via a relay to an output set to zone mimic ….it could have a key switch override if required …..we have some systems wired like this

It makes a big difference on how much detail you give to the answer you receive.

sparkymarka probably has the best solution as there is a means of isolating the activation if the door is damaged and it can’t be closed or contact is damaged.
