Update: panel flashed to v4.0.3. Connect installed and panel programmed as per manual.

All completed in less than an hour including setting up mine and the wife's phone apps.

Yep, seems to be the case for sure.
Have been playing with the app this evening and although a lot better than the old Texecom app; it's still not polished enough. Texecom have lots of dev work to do in terms of GUI and perceived useability.

In summary, really happy that the panel is now running V4 fw and the prospect of over the air updates (although it will be interesting to see what Texecom use for security).

should feed that back to Texecom with your suggestions?

cant see how that will be possible for the panel with current smart com, but the smart com is updated from the app itself.
