Hi,

I have a PC running Blue Iris with 7 cameras, and I have a TexeCom Elite 64W alarm (with SmartCom). I want to trigger the camera to record when the Texecom alarm is triggered.

Im good with software, but struggle with electronics. Is anyone able to describe what I need to do?

From reading threads it seems I need to add a physical wire to one of the alarms outputs, but what do I do with the wire? I have the SmartCom module which connects to my home wifi. Is it possible to get the alarm to hit a url or IP address, or anything that doesn't involve a physical wire?

Thanks in advance for any help

Todd.

a physical wire from panel to the DVR would record the camera to the DVR.

if you have the cameras on Texecom connect you may be able to do a recipe to get a recording to the Texecom cloud.

Suggest you look at the Texecom forum for assistance with that.
