Hi all, I am looking for some help, hopefully its something straightforward. Over xmas internal sounder went off, entering the user code didnt do anything, as I guess no sensors were triggered. I took the internal battery out and changed the fuse but still didnt turn off. As this was at night time I had not choice but to open the internal sounder and cut the wire.

I knew my internal battery was running low and had in there for about 5/6 years. So I changed this a week later and reset the alarm but still when connecting the internal sounder wires it was going off. Is there a reset on the internal sounder somewhere?

The alarm is still working as I can arm and disarm as normal, only the internal sounder is currently disconnected, we only hear key pad when setting.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So when I connect the cut wires together it starts going off. Thanks

That’s just a speaker ….and it’s controlled from the alarm panel….unless there is something programmed in another area ( which your code does not control ) entering a code should stop it …

Event log entries may help identify what the trigger is/was.

A little miffed as the alarm panel /kepads LCD displays would display errors.

You chose to cut the speaker and sound stopped.
The speaker is wired to the panel.

So there would normally be an event recorded for the alarm being actvated.

When I installed the new internal battery, the fault was displayed. It was a supervision fault on door contact (ricochet sensor). I changed the battery in the sensor and then reset the alarm. This then allowed me to arm it, thought I could then connect the wires together in the internal speaker, but when I do this, it starts sounding.
