We used to get a rap on the knuckles with a ruler if we were seen passing notes in class but I wonder if texting in class is common place these days?

I know kids that sit next to each other (not just in class) and text each other....

We used to get a rap as well and the note was read out loud to the rest of the class.

Used to be fun if someone was asking a girl for a date.
