I have posted previously about a sewer issue:
https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/mini-digger-damage-to-porcelain-pipe.526713/#post-4418681
A 'public' sewer running the width of a 6mt extension has been unexpectedly discovered and damaged during excavations, the damaged clay/porcelain pipe needs replacing - like for like, to satisfy Thames Water.
Temporary plastic pipe has been put down the hole to service the properties.
We will use a Hepworth Supersleeve (prod code SP2) 150mm clay pipe, and connect the two ends with 'Flex Seal' adapter couplings (prod code AC1923).
We have run through the 'Self Certification' online form for a 'Build Over' agreement, and satisfy all the criteria.
My concern is that - as we are going to be applying retrospectively - would Thames Water wish to halt works - or do any inspections, and as such might involve a lengthy wait (ie weeks) ... which suspending works right in the middle of the build would be bit of a mare ...
Any experiences/thoughts.
