oops! I was wrong! just the two chicks and no chance that the other two will hatch after all this time.

They've left home! my life seems emty without them took 14 days for them to fledge, well fed little bggers.

Richardp I wonder if you took the two unhatched eggs out if the blackbirds would return and use the nest a gain for a second brood which they very often have.

I looked this morning at about 08:30, they were still there, but showing signs, of restlessness.
I will miss them, I hope they go on to produce youngsters of their own.

seen the chicks nearby, I will try clearing the nest tomorrow, I noticed a bird of prey near here this morning so they are in some peril for a while!!
