I'm sensing a wine buff here.......

Not really, those honours go to my Dad who is a buff/bore. My old best mate was also a wine advisor/investor/broker, so I have been subjected to many different wines, some sublime, some vile. I don't really drink red at all anymore as cheap red is almost invariably vile.

Yep, that Pure Malbec is one of our favourites from the Co-op. More so when it’s on a special.

One of our regulars. Sainsbury house Pinot Noir wine. £4.80 Very good value. In fact, many of their house wines are good value.

I don't want wines which are made for people who basically prefer alco-pops to real wine.

I don't want wines which taste like dissolved fruit gums.

No, but sadly they are becoming the only style of wines on the supermarket shelves, and in many restaurants have completely become the only style available.
