14 yo on a full size pitch is just ridiculous

I think the womens footballers are just as, or even more skilful than the mens game, but the pich and the goals just need to be smaller - it would be more watchable

and I agree 100% with waht you said earlier about bending the knee (i hadn't realised they were doing that nonsense) why such respect, honor and admiration for this vile life long criminal

Who knows. They seem to have seen since in now not Bending the knee.

We have a keeper whos fantastic but she's barely 5 foot.

We have a goal stricker who scored 64 goals last season. She will be lobbing these keeping regularly.

The size of pitch isn't so much the problem but the condition of most pitches is not acceptable and the facilities for young teenagers who wont pop into the bush is just wrong.

They should apply the Dutch Method for training youngsters; emphasising technique and control rather than fitness and stamina. They've been doing it for years now and they've had some success in their methods.

Technique, Insight, Personality and Speed

Start them on a quarter size pitch, then a half size before they've developed the muscles for a full pitch and goals to suit their age and height. As you say, it's no use putting a 4' tall person in a full size goal - scoring over sixty a season on those terms gives a false confidence to the striker who goes on to struggle and loses confidence. Above all; make it fun. Any fool can sit on the bench and win a trophy.

Who was that guy signed for your lot and barely played a game, content to pick up a pay check?
David Bentley had loads of talent but gave up the game before he was thirty as he just didn't enjoy playing anymore.

Technicique is major important but fitness is equal to that.

They played a friendly against team a division higher last year. They where 7-2 up
Ended 7-7 as their fitness let them down.

Maybe they ran around too much in taking the lead and had no puff left to defend it.
Spanish football is the best example of TIPS; letting the ball do the work rather than running after it; playing to feet and allowing your team a breather while the other lot run about trying to get it back.

Xavi was the undisputed master of that, and he learnt how to do that at Barecelona's youth academy; which is based on Ajax's training techniques. The Dutch invented 'Total Football' but the Spanish took it to another level and their league, despite English claims, is regarded as the best in the world for that reason.

Good on the Girls. They done themselves proud.

Done far better than the ever knee Bending men.

However I would say that they need to practice penalties

Who do they say the Top 4 will be?
It doesn't work that way. They ask the Grauniad sportswriters and take an average of their replies, then publish two a day in alphabetical order. You can have a read of what they think about the Villa, if you like but i'm not going to post 'em all...just the teams who have some chance of winning the league.

So no, there won't be one on United! :D Although i predict they'll finish higher than last season.
