My mate has a combi in his loft. He doesn’t even bother to wait for the kitchen tap to get hot, it takes that long for the hot to get to the tap that they either wash up with cold or boil a kettle.

Problem is some heating engineers don't explain this even installing. Or the customer just doesn't get it.


He could put a small under sink water heater in

The insulation board. Apparently it's should reduce fuel bills by 40%. That be if the whole house is done that is.

It was expensive but I think I've done the right thing.

I've only done the ground floor.

I've not had my heating on so far, its not got that cold as yet, so couldn't tell.

I know how the public feel with disorganised unreliable tradesmen.

I know the electrician and the floor layer . Both have been a nightmare. Both have their problems but are still terrible at keeping times.

Kitchen I have insulated 2 externals walls in my kitchen and 1 in my living room.

Also in doing my Kitchen I have replaced all the 15mm hot feeds to taps with 10mm feeds and insulated them from a manifold.

Next year I'll insulate the spare room and hopefully fit triple glazing.View attachment 284297View attachment 284325

They were 30% cheaper if we advertised their product.

I've had to leave the dog at the window to guard as they wanted 30% extra for glass.
