Restocking, is something that has to be done frequently.

Frequently restocking means you also have to do more stock rotation.

Rotation of stock, is only necessary if you are selling goods that are perishable.

We all get too hung up on the issue of perishable goods and their sell-by date.

It may be intended as a guide, but it's something that is followed slavishly by many people and creates so much unnecessary waste while so many in the world are starving. .

Disregarding the starving aspect of this conversation the two date markings that appear on goods are meant to be taken in different contexts, if it says 'use by' then it should be used by that date whereas if it says 'best by' then it means after that date the quality will deterioate but may still be acceptable.
