The phase out of ice engines..

Hmm. Chinese engineering excellence and lithium-ion batteries. What could possibly go wong (sic)? :giggle:

More likely a poor installation by the bus builder. Make no mistake, if they feel like it, the Chinese can do some excellent engineering. You definitely get what you pay for with China, though. If you want cheap tat, that's what they will sell you, and it will be very cheap and very tatty. If you want world-leading stuff, they can usually do that too, in most fields, but you have to pay more. Don't make the same mistakes we made with the Japanese in the 60s and 70s...

Insurers seem to be getting concerned about lithium batteries now. At this year's business insurance renewal they want to know where we store lithium batteries, where we charge them and how we dispose of them. They are not talking about huge batteries, they are asking about the ones in phones, laptops and power tools.

Yes, let it not be said that the anti-electrification propaganda machine isn't giving this its best shot! :ROFLMAO:

Still, nothing changes. At least they didn't have social media when electricity started to take over from domestic coal and ga. They had to resort to posters back then...

Not the reason why EV insurance MAY be dearer than ice. In fact the gap appears to be closing and it's no longer correct to assume ev insurance is dearer.

As they increase in numbers market forces will change this even more.

So the question could well be, when is the right time to switch? But that's not an easy question to answer as ev's are still not the right choice for many. But it's changing rapidly

Anybody's plans to switch (EV or ICE) are probably best placed on hold until after next month's budget.

Saw a chance to up the premiums, and grabbed it (y)
