I see Catalonia want independance from Spain, but still be within and controlled by the EU.

If Catalonia gets independance, it will automatically be rejected by the EU and have to reapply.....

Catalonia is a rich part of Spain, generating some 20% of gdp but only occupies 6% of Spains land.
