The Tories have a new leader ...

Jeremy Clarkson ?

he would certainly get my vote
He might stand as he's just been shafted by the new IHT rules around agricultural relief. Apparently that's why he invested in the farm. Arguably its a giant film set and not entitled to any relief.

IHT rules around agricultural relief.
Those have a number of factors not mentioned. Exclusions that don't get included in the £1m - not sure. There has been mention that the 1m can turn out to be 2 - joint own or what pass.

Also need to know what the Tory did on this.

I doubt you would get a rizla paper between Reform and Badenoch, so even though these two entities would probably accumulate 60% of the popular vote, we could still end up with Labour

ts just depressing

They're quite right wing, but they elected a black woman??
And? Are you suggesting that folk are unable to cloak themselves in whatever costume to please the crowd? Boris would wear any hat, wherever the right wing populist wind blew. Kemi is a Brexiteer. She plays the RW trumpet. What more could the RWR want? She may get them really excited and give GBNews an interview or suggest slashing the small boats, or ban the Burka.

You are forgetting just how gullible the RWR are. After all, trans listens to the radio and Kemi talks quite posh.

They shafted farmers with brexhit, didn't replace eu subsidy, and basically said let market forces apply. In other words farms could be run more profitably by getting bigger and saving costs through economies of scale.Ironically labor’s IHT hit by will kick start that approach, though I suspect farmers will dig deep to survive by diversifying more, and only let go of their land if they are literally at or near bankruptcy.

Ironically labor’s IHT
You missed some of the point of my post - what was the farmer IHT before labour changed it?

Labour seem to have included land they "green" and get paid for. The budget section also includes links to other aspects of the taxation.

So they may have improved things for the farmers or not. Depends on the previous set up.

Eh??

Yes the right love black people who are racists, it legitimises their racism so people like you think it’s fine.

She might be black but she sure as hell doesn’t represent anybody black, other than the very wealthy

Complete exemption afaik, so the farm could be handed down generation to generation, in the interests of maintaining important food producing businesses. The toreys have created polarised politics so its understandable labor don't see farmers as their friends but 20% is still half the general rate, and the 7 years rule still applies. They could have helped farmers out by introducing visas for east european farm workers. That would help sustain profitability for the industry and the smaller farmers.

your tribalism is hilarious.

We’ve just had 14 years of zero growth and destruction of public services due to Tories….yet here you are depressed because the U.K. now has a Labour govt.

If you bothered to look at history you would see the last Labour govt was pretty good, much better than the Tory period we’ve had since.
