Fell off, snapped off, whatever.
On the radiator by the front door. Walked past it this morning & saw it on the floor.
Nothing really should've clipped it but whatever, it's on the floor.
Would prefer to not have to call someone out to deal with this but at the same time I have been known to flood the living room before when undoing/tightening. Getting someone out is obviously going to cost but at the same time things like these can turn in to a ballache with trades folk because in my experience they're never interested in little jobs like this so you're constantly chasing trying to find someone willing to come out & sort it.
What's the process for getting this sorted to how it should be?
As in talk to me like I'm a dummy (don't just say replace it). Like do I need to be undoing the nut that's near the rad, do I just grip the metal collar thing that I think should be part of this TRV at the bottom that's still attached, do I grip the bit below it & undo that collar thing above it? Is it going to leak if so - do I need to be doing something to stop that? Etc etc etc.
