the influx of warm freshwater onto the sea surface could block the formation of sea ice,
Total boll@x.
Freshwater freezing point is higher than saltwater, so it would freeze more easily.
It's a common misconception that marine pollution and the climate crisis are completely separate issues – but they're actually fundamentally linked. We must move from a single-use society to a circular economy that's free from harmful chemicals if we want to protect the planet.
That's correct.
The eco terrorists refuse to accept that the planet, including the atmosphere, is one single organism.
First thing we should get rid of is single use plastic, very easy to do but somehow politicians don't want to go against the plastic lobbyists.

Just wants to complain about the shortage of immigrant women and children, but has no idea why.

Were it due simply to climate change, then there would be a representative mix of ages, and gender, arriving on our shores - They are not, they are by far, mostly highly mobile young males.
Please explain how you managed to interpret this as stating that Harry was complaining of a "shortage of immigrant women and children"?

I'm suggesting that you're willfully misinterpreting, i.e. talking complete rubbish. If I've got this wrong then please explain your reasoning.

Umm...

the influx of warm freshwater onto the sea surface could block the formation of sea ice,

It's a temporary phenomenon.
How warm is this freshwater falling into frozen sea water?
How long would it take to freeze in subzero temperatures?
You're talking total boll@x.

Umm...

It's a temporary phenomenon.

Who says it's temporary?

How warm is this freshwater falling into frozen sea water?
How long would it take to freeze in subzero temperatures?

Do your research and lemme know.

You're talking total boll@x.
Don't shoot the messenger...

Persistent chemicals may be stored in Arctic ice and permafrost. As the climate warms and the ice melts, they are released back into the environment posing an increased threat to marine wildlife.

Are you sure ice is melting everywhere?
Are you sure new permanent ice is not forming somewhere else whilst some areas lose permafrost?
Are these chemicals in the permafrost natural?
If so, nature is doing its work, we can't stop it.

Quite sure.

There is strong evidence that the petroleum industry is targeting plastic as a growth area to compensate for lost revenue as we reduce our use for energy derived from fossil fuels. Plastic production has increased from 15 million tonnes in the sixties to 311 million tonnes in 2014 and is expected to triple by 2050, when it would account for 20% of global annual oil consumption and 15% of the global annual carbon budget.

This plastic is being discharged into the ocean at increasing volumes, while the use of fossil fuels is further driving our climate emergency further increasing the environmental pressure.

If so, nature is doing its work, we can't stop it.
It isn't all due to natural causes.

As a wise builder once said, "yes we can!"

Correct.
This is the one thing we can easily fix without drastically changing our lifestyle.
Get rid of all single use plastic.

That's not a sensible post.

Do you know what a glacier is?

In the Alps, do you know how long glaciers were stable?

And what has happened to them in the last 20 years?

"Nature" did not cause the recent climate change.
