Hi all,

I have an internal wall requiring repair due to external damage. It’s Thermolite block, a couple are clearly broken / disintegrated so will be drilled out and changed (Red crosses in the picture).

The crack runs up the mortar joints which I plan to rake out and replace.

Advice wanted on the block in the circle, it has a hairline crack but hasn’t gone anywhere.
Should I leave it alone or drill it out and replace whilst I’m at it? Or some other type of in situ repair?

Thanks

Personally, no. Aerated blocks are not the best at resisting cracking (shrinkage) so are prone to it, regardless. As part of remedial work, we would, yes.
