Thermometer for taking hot water temps

Can anyone please recommend me a good thermometer for taking water temp readings, ie from a hot tap??

Certainly: I hereby recommend that you use a good thermometer for taking water temp readings.
 
Hi could look at thermometersdirect.com to get an idea.. you can pay from a few ££ up to £50 - £60 for a calibrated one. The one for around £10 is good, waterproof, suitable for laboratory use etc, and accurate to within +/- 1degree between -30 and 150 and just does what it says on the tin, no problem

Thanks, I'll take a look and get one.

I have an infrared thermometer for taking pipe/rad temps but not one for water temps.
