We had a problem with the 3amp fuse blowing but tracked it down to a short in the cable. Substitued a new short cable by the airing cupboard (wiring box) in its place and all is working....heat at last!!!
Thanks for the advice tracking it down.

There seems to be something not quite right though...

The hot water side is fine, kicks in when i turn it on and stops when i turn it off.

but i'm a little confused as the heating side is not quite right.

as i can turn the heating on and off purely with the room stat. to a degree this is correct but the heating side of the programmer doesn't do anything, (and it should be able to turn the heating off)

If i select 'ON' or 'OFF' on the heating does'nt respond.

If i turn the room stat completely down - the heating system turns off,
Turn the Room Stat up and it starts the heating system.

Cheers

Wiring not correct. Timer and stat should be in series, not in parallel.
