There's usually not a lot wrong with old systems... "When they were put in"!
They were done properly, used good, solid, reliable components and materials and performed to expectations.
Those expectations have changed... A lot!
So have standards and regs. Add to that, years of neglect, add-ons and tinkering by Uncle-Tom-Cobbly-n'-all, and you're left with a white elephant, bound to disappoint.
Get a new system installed.
That said, I also take into account, the age(s) of the property owner-occupiers, when appraising such systems... One does have to gauge needs against spend.

Would it be a big job to upgrade, no problem with wires and stuff its a bungalow.
only other thing is the rad are on microbore pipes would this cause any difficulties?
Basically depends what you want and to some degree the existing system. Microbore isn't an issue provided the pipework is clean, most issues are due to blocked pipework, being smaller bore they block more easily. No point having a Megaflow if the incoming mains supply isn't man enough to support it, you can only get out what's coming in.
Upgrade to fully pumped shouldn't be too much of an issue, will require some additional pipework, and alterations to existing system, and the addition of required valves, and electrics. Only concern I would have is if the boiler will adapt to fully pumped without an issue, unless you're planning to upgrade that at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes boiler will be upgraded too so all should be good when it's complete
Be worth looking at your insulation levels at the same time, new system would be more efficient, but if property is haemorrhaging heat, then you'll not gain much.
You must know my house needs cavity insulation none existing at min but that's next job to be done
And roof?
And windows?
Roof is insulated and new doors and windows only installed in summer.
