Thermostat upgrade

I have just moved into a new property which is an old victorian house...

It has a baxi boiler.... Siemans rwb27 control unit and a dial honeywell thermostat...

I want to upgrade to a alexa/ hive solution...

The thermostat has two wires..

Should I run the new device from the thermostat or control unit...

Never done this before and it's all new to me so any help would be appreciated

Ditch all of it and go smart.
Honeywell/Wiser, etc.

Control your heating with an app, not some, 1970's-esque clunky 2 button timer

If it's just the thermostat you're looking to change, the Honeywell DT90E isn't bad and it's a lot better than a dial job. Just a two wire setup too so you can use your existing wires. I actually liked mine better than my hive thermostat.
